NEW! AGBIS/Farrer & Co | Exclusion Guide (webinar)

Speakers: Veryan Exelby, Senior Counsel, Farrer & Co; Katie Fudakowski, Partner, Farrer & Co; and Sophia Coles, Senior Associate, Farrer & Co

Please note: We are also running an in-person seminar on this topic on Monday 27th January 2025, which you can book here.

The right to exclude a pupil from an independent school is informed by the contract between the school and the fee payer (normally the parent) and the school’s policies and procedures form part of that contract. However, some of the terms between the school and the parent may not be in writing but may still be valid and enforceable.  To ensure that your governing body is well-informed and ready to handle any exclusions that may unfortunately be sanctioned, AGBIS is pleased to partner with Farrer & Co to offer this important Exclusion Guide event.

Veryan Exelby, a Senior Counsel within the Safeguarding Unit at Farrer & Co, Katie Fudakowski, Partner and Sophia Coles, Senior Associate will explain the essential aspects that you need to know and you will have the opportunity to ask questions to keep your school compliant.  You can find out more about our Farrer & Co colleagues here: Veryan Exelby | Solicitor | Safeguarding (farrer.co.uk)  Katie Fudakowski l Solicitor | Employment (farrer.co.uk)  Sophia Coles | Solicitor | Employment (farrer.co.uk)

This webinar is aimed at all governors, and SLT.
